After graduating from La Joya Early College High School, Karla Guzman pursued a master's degree in Clinical Psychology and is now working towards her LPC licensure. "My time at LJECHS was notably one of the most rewarding and shaping experiences of my educational career," Guzman said.
Now, as a case manager in the Adult Mental Health Department at Tropical Texas Behavioral Health, Karla applies the lessons and values instilled in her during her time at LJECHS. Her role involves providing a wide range of mental health services to disadvantaged individuals, a testament to her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
